The Optimist Club of Fredericksburg ...
About Us
An Optimist Club is a voluntary organization of civic-minded men and women banded together to serve the community, to encourage personal development, and to adopt optimism as a philosophy of life. The majority of our programs are focused on the youth of the community. Our motto is "Friend of Youth".
We hope you will consider joining one of the world’s largest and most active service organizations. Optimist International has 4200 clubs that serve more than 5 million youth per year. The Optimist Club is an affiliate of Optimist International.
You can be an important component of your club and of Optimist International. Without dedicated volunteers, Optimist Clubs would be unable to carry out their numerous projects for youth and the community.
Belonging to an Optimist Club benefits the member in two ways. First, it is rewarding to give one’s self and time to better the community. Second, the member grows personally and professionally, while developing and improving leadership skills.
The Fredericksburg Optimist Club meets weekly for breakfast and a meeting, Tuesdays from 6:30 am - 7:30 am at Denny's Restaurant. Come join us for some very interesting programs along with great fellowship.
Questions regarding membership in the Fredericksburg Optimist Club can be directed to any Optimist Club member listed above or drop a card to the Fredericksburg Optimist Club, PO Box 726, Fredericksburg, TX 78624, or send us an email.

The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself -
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
